I'm searching for information on this Perry family from the 1870 census: Robinson Twp. 79-78 William Perry 23 VA farmer Samuel 25 VA farm work Phillip 14 VA farm work Susan 12 VA Mary 50 VA keep house They were living close to my 3rd great grandparents, John Perry and Sarah (Landers) Perry: 82-81 John Perry 49 VA farm work Sarah 40 VA keep house George 18 VA farm work Elizabeth D. 17 VA William 16 VA farm work Margaret 14 VA Charles 12 VA Jennie 8 VA Henry 6 WV Alice 4 WV James 2 WV John and Sarah had a son named William Alfred, who was born 1 September 1854. Does anyone know whether there was a family relationship between these two families? I thought that possibly Mary was married to John's brother, was widowed and William was the head of the household as the oldest son. Thus far, I don't have any information on John, other than the fact that he was born in Virginia and that Sara predeceased him. Any information would be very much appreciated. I have been stalled on John for quite a few months now. I feel like I'm the only one researching this line. Nobody seems to have any information. Cynthia
