Hey Nancy, Most of the older Mason County records ended up at the WVU library in Morgantown. The story is that when the fire happened that someone who lived close to the courthouse found the records lying outside around the courthouse and took them and stored them at her house and then she donated them to WVU. But, don't know any more about that. Anyway, I do know a lot of those old records are there in Morgantown. Good luck, hope all is well with you.
