Am looking for a book on the collapse of the Silver Bridge. December 15th will mark the 34th anniversary of the tragedy. Thank you in advance for any information or guidance. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Mike Peters [email protected]
Hi Mike, I know of two books and as far as I know both are out of print, the first is THE SILVER BRIDGE by Gray Barker and the second is THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES by John Keel. With the movie coming out the first of the year, I have seen THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES for sell on e-bay. I do believe the Mason County Library in Point Pleasant has copies of both and would also suggest their newspaper archives for additional information if you are interested in the collapse. And I a side note, I was living in Point Pleasant at the time of the collapse and was supposed to go shopping in Gallipolis around 4:30 pm with a friend who ended up working late. My father turned the lights on the tragedy so that the rescue workers could continue after dark that first night. There, but for the grace of God, I am still here.
