Charles B. Adkins Charles B. Adkins, 75, of Alliance, died at 8:43 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, 2007, at the home of his daughter in Atwater, Ohio following a long illness. Mr. Adkins was born Oct. 31, 1931, in Nat, W.Va., to Marvin and Freda (Riffle) Adkins. He was a heavy equipment operator with the operating engineers. He was a member and trustee of the Truth Baptist Church in Deerfield, Ohio. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Adkins enjoyed and played southern gospel music for local nursing homes. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eva Adkins; two daughters, Sue and Verton Raber of Atwater and Karen M. Sarchione of Walhonding, Ohio; two grandchildren, Colleen R. Raber and Cherie C. Raber; and two great-grandchildren, Bowen K. Brown and Leal C. Fiorantinoe. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Skip" Adkins Jr.; his mother; father; and a sister. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Dean's Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Teague officiating. Burial will be at Atwater Cemetery, Atwater, Ohio.
