    2. Where do access the Meigs County census records? Thanks

    1. Re: [WVMASON] Looking for.....
    2. Thank you Clay Glenn. I think part of my problem may be her name is Olivia Norton Hoffman. I'm not sure if Norton is her maiden name or a family middle name, or Hoffman a previous marriage before her marriage to Fletcher Young in 1903, or her maiden name. But I will check out Meigs co. Pat in Indiana

    2. John Chapman
    3. Hi there. I also think that it is a good idea to restate what families we are looking for. I am researching the Chapman and Jenkins family lines. This is the family of my father-in-law. The furthest back I have researched is William Henry Chapman, born around 1830, and William A. Jenkins, born 1862. One of the things I am looking into is any possible family tie to Brigadier General Albert G. Jenkins of the CSA. Because they are from the same area, and William was also the name of Albert's father, I believe they are related, but cannot prove that yet. If anyone has any information on these families, or are researching the same families, I'd love to hear from you. That will tell you whom were Josie's parents. Julie, endlessly sorting out dead relatives....

    2. In the 1880 Putnam County Census, there is a Charles William Jordan listed. He is 8 years old and the son of James M. Jordan and Leodicia. Could this be the one you are looking for? In the 1880 Mason County census there is a Charles William Jordan listed, but he is 21 years old living with his mother and father S. J. and Jane Jordan. There are several others listed with just Charles. If you want them let me know and I will send them out tomorrow evening to you. If I can be of any more assistance, just let me know.
