Hi Mike, I know of two books and as far as I know both are out of print, the first is THE SILVER BRIDGE by Gray Barker and the second is THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES by John Keel. With the movie coming out the first of the year, I have seen THE MOTHMAN PROPHECIES for sell on e-bay. I do believe the Mason County Library in Point Pleasant has copies of both and would also suggest their newspaper archives for additional information if you are interested in the collapse. And I a side note, I was living in Point Pleasant at the time of the collapse and was supposed to go shopping in Gallipolis around 4:30 pm with a friend who ended up working late. My father turned the lights on the tragedy so that the rescue workers could continue after dark that first night. There, but for the grace of God, I am still here. Dear List, Can anyone help me find obituaries for John R HUMPHRIES, died 27 May 1867 in Hartford City and his wife Mary HUMPHRIES, died 3 Apr 1890 in Hartford City. What newspapers were operating in Hartford City then? Or is there anyone on the List who could do a look-up for me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale Nicoll Concord, CA

Hello all, Has anyone on the list ever heard of the Summerville Cemetery? My g-g-grandfather, Felix M. Lee, is buried there. According to notes left by a cousin, who is now deceased, the cemetery is located on property in the vicinity of Maggie, about eight or ten miles from Pt. Pleasant. The cemetery was located on the old Summerville farm. Mr. Summerville sold it to the federal government around World War II, and the government later sold it to Jack Sayre, who owned a filling station on Rt. 62 many years ago. We would very much like to visit the cemetery, so need instructions on how to get there. Many thanks for your help. Pat Nichols

Hello. I am new to this list. I am searching for a Jacob and Maria Thompson in WVA in the 1860's. I am also looking for their son Lewis Thompson, who eventually moved to Meigs County, OH (in OH for 1870 census). In 1868, he was married for the second time to a Maria Parsons. He was 55 and she was 37 at the time, according to the record. He stated his residence was Mason City and that he was a physician. Anybody have these people in their families? Also, I currently have the Mason County WVA Marriage records from 1806 to 1868 (vols. 1 - 5) on microfilm from the LDS. The first volume, 1806 - 1850 is not indexed, the other 4 are. If anyone is interested in a lookup, please reply to my e-mail address. However, please do not request every member of your family tree or every instance of a surname. Thank you. jenny Watertown, SD
