does any one happen to know any thing about a Christopher Bonecutter marrying a Maggie Fulton April 1891 Gallia co. I have the marriage record .I don't know if this was my grand father maybe had a wife before my grand mother or if this was another Christopher you see I cannot find a marriage record for my grandmother to Chris Bonecutter born 1880 their first child was born 1919 my grand mother was married to a Gabe Chandler 1911 and I cannot find a divorce record for her at all she did petition but never got the divorce according to Cabal co so how did her and Chris marry?she used several names to marry Gabe she used Velvie Fife for Chris she used Velvie Winters on the birth cert for her children and for her third husband she used Garnet Velvie Winters instead of Velvie Bonecutter which that is what it should have been if she was married to Chris and I never found grandma birth cert from there in Cabal co her last name should have been Burcham at birth , she said her father was Frank Winters , what a confuse mess so maybe Chris did have a previous wife Gabe did not die until 1960 ? Hi List I am new to this list but I am researching the Mayes name. my G.Grandfather married Elizabeth Jane Mayes and his name was Christopher Bonecutter Vee and Ronni sent me some info on the Mayes name , what I would like to find is the death record for Elizabeth Jane Mayes Bonecutter and Christopher Bonecutter if possible Christopher was born in Mason co W.Va and I have his birth info and his parents info I just cannot find his death info any where he was born in 1853 and married in Gallia co Ohio I also found only one census record for this family in 1880 thanks for all your help Shirley

In the 1860 census John Hall Mayes and family are located in Green Township, Gallia County and in 1870 Clay Township, Gallia County. My son-in-law is their descendant. I have done a little research on them but not a lot.
