I am looking for the death record of Marie Elizabeth Knappenberger Hughes. She was living in Mason Co, WV in 1897 when here last son was born. Her husband. Andrew Hughes, died in 1900, I have not been able to find her in the 1900 census. Her son William Preston Hughes came to live with the Peter Roseberry family about 1902. (orphan) Her Father's name was Jacob Knappenberger and her mother was Elizabeth Gossett. Any help would be appreciated. I have not been able to find a cemetery or death record for her. They may have been living with or near the Preston Newell Family in Mason County. Thanks Dan Grammer grammerdan2@gmail.com

Dear Sir, Madam, I am from Holland and have an interest in WW2 history, especially in the US servicemen who fought and died for our freedom and are/were buried in the US Military Cemetery in Margraten, Holland (near where I live). I am seeking for information about and in particular a picture from Monroe J. Lehmann. He was from Mason County, Virginia, born May 1917. He was killed in action in Germany, November 16th 1944. Can you please help me? Thank you in advance, kind regards from Holland, AN

Any help appreciated. Last year some nice listers responded to my query about the death of Thomas Drew Nov. 27, 1898. I know he was buried in Lone Oak Cemetery and was given the information that he is the only Drew in that cemetery. I have seen that there is a Lone Oak Cemetary and an addition. Are they at the same site? Thomas Drew's place of death was listed as Lock 11 or Lock H. There seems to be a little dot between the two 1's that looks like a crossbar. I've googled both an all I am coming up with is Byrd and a lock at Gallopoli Ferry but even the old part is listed as built in the 1920's or 30's which is too new for Thomas to have worked there. He was a mason so that would be a logical place for him to work. I would really like to get a specific place if I could. It meant something in 1898. I would like to get the death certificate to see what the original says. Someone must have given information. Someone buried him even if it was the county. Would someone have that address? Thomas is my great great grandfather and abandoned his family in Canada to run off and start another family. We knew this but didn't know where other than somewhere south on the east coast. I know he ended up with family and someone called me but got the answer to their question and hung up before I could say anything. Thomas' death cause was listed as drunkeness. I doubt he was living with anyone at that time but someone knows the rest of the story. Thank you for reading.
