G'day folks, I'm looking for information about the families of Susan McDONALD (b. 1826) and James Dorsey ROBERTS (b. 1823). Both of their families are said to have lived in the region of Ohio Co. VA that now is Marshall Co. WV. The McDONALDs and ROBERTS moved to southeastern Iowa in the mid 1830s, probably separately. JD and Susan married in Iowa in 1845. Susan McDONALD was the daughter of Alexander and Mary Ann (KING/KOENIG) McDONALD. JD ROBERTS was the son of Reuben and Elizabeth (BARTON) ROBERTS.
