    3. Hi to all: I think Jim Wiley has made an excellent suggestion for the motels in St Clairsville. It is about a 15-20 minute drive to Benwood from St Clairsville and it is all 4 lane highway. It will take a person about 45 minutes to make that trip from New Martinsville and much of the highway is 2 lanes and at night there are many deer along the road. The St Clairsville motels are also very close to the mall for those who like to shop. There are also a host of resturants in this area. There are also a few motels I can suggest if a person wants to stay in Wheeling. The Hampton Inn is very nice and it is just off I70 on old route 40 at 795 National Road. The phone number is 304-233-0440. The cost may be more than the St Clairsville motels but the Hampton is close to Ogleby. Also in downtown Wheeling, near the Jamboree, at 10th & Main Streets, is a Best Western. The phone number is 304-233-8500. I would steer clear of the motels in Moundsville & Glen Dale unless I just wanted a place to sleep. Most of the contractors who visit our plant stay in Wheeling or St Clairsville. Some stay in New Martinsville but Mitchell Plant is about 15 miles north of New Martinsville and New Martinsville is 38 miles south of Wheeling. Of course the northern Benwood city limit is at the southern tip of Wheeling. If you take the Benwood exit from State Route 2 you cannot miss Undos. At the bottom of the exit ramp you will hang a right, around the Benwood City Park. Take the next left and follow this street. When you get to the end of this street you will see Undos on the right side of the street. It is undo the bridge, that is where the name came from. I believe there are only 3 streets in Benwood which run north and south and 2 of them have one way traffic. The first street only has north bound traffic. The second street, the one you want to take, only has south bound traffic. Hope this helps, Vernon Anderson
