Many of my families are from the Botetourt and adjacent county areas. The Thrasher line is my Brick Wall. Here are the only facts I have: The Cronin family are generally from the east going into the Monroe County, OH area (across the river from Pleasants co., VA[WV]). Samuel Cronin [c1819, Monroe co., OH--1894, Pleasants co., WV] m: 1845, Washington co., OH to Sarah Jane Thrasher [?--bet. 1872/77, Pleasants co., WV]; When she died he married her sister, Nancy Thrasher [c1836, OH?--]. A family member said Sarah Jane Thrasher was born in Doddridge co., VA. We think she died in MO, since Samuel & family traved to the MO territory three times, each time coming back with less than when he started... the Indians had a way of encouraging gifts of horses, food, etc. If you can help on this line, I would be a happy camper!
