Variations of the name include HINDS [My current} HIND / HINES / HYNES / HYND, etc. My direct ancestory was in Beaver County, PA after the Revolution, but may have been descendent from Chester, PA, -- Albemarle, Augusta Counties in VA. Family members migrated through VA, PA, KY, TN, AL, AR, IN. Early names were James, William, Thomas, John, Samuel. At Beaver County, PA (Sewickley and N. Sewickley) John Hind - Revolutionary War [fifer] John, jr., George, Peter, and Jacob. Also Sampson and others. Related families included PIERSOL and OLDHAM.
