I was talking recently with Carol Marling Anderson. She and a relative are working on a Howard history, soon to be out, which includes the Howards of the Cameron, WV area. Carol tells me that the first chapter of the "History of Cameron" is in error when it identifies Samuel and James Howard as among the first to arrive in the vicinity. Carol states that it should read "Samuel and John Howard" along with Brice Howard. According to Carol, John was a minister of Crooked Baptist Church. The Howard book will contain a good deal of Cameron history and photos. I can't wait to see it.
