I just received a letter in the mail about Family Tree Maker being Y2K compliant now, so everyone should get a new copy. I thought that was strange to be getting that, since genealogy programs should be Y2K compliant in the fact that they are set for 4 digit years... or all our ancestors would be born the same year. After getting this, I wrote to Family Origins, asking if that was Y2K compliant. Since FTM now had me concerned about it. FO said that they are in fact Y2K complaint, always have been, and that yes, he even has the leap year in correctly. I don't know about the other programs on the market. If anyone has FO 7.0 though, you have no fear of the Y2K monster at your door. Dawn.
