Hi All: Found this deed today at the Marshall County Court House, thought you might find it interesting. Does anyone know the exact location of this cemetery? I have Dale Lowe's book, "Schools, Churches, Cemeteries". I have not been able to locate the cemetery. I know the general location but am reluctant to take off walking on someone elses property. This Deed made the Twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty one Between Nancy Coe of the first part and James W Coe, Violinda J Coe, C S Coe, John A Coe, Isaac R Coe, Walker Coe, and W R Coe of the second part. Witnessth that in consideration of the sum of one Dollar the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged the said party of the first part do grant unto the said parties of the second part the following described property that is to say A small parcel of land situated in Cameron District Marshall County State of West Virginia and Bounded and described as follows to wit Beginning at a Dogwood in line of S S Kittle North 40 feet thence West 60 feet thence South 40 feet to line of S S Kittle thence with said S S Kittle line 60 feet to the place of Beginning the Above plat of ground including the spot on which John Coe's skin was recently Buried the above plat of ground being conveyed for a family Burying ground. And it is further commented by the said parties of the first part and garenteed that the said parties of the second part are to have access to and from said Burying place along the line of S S Kittle to the County Road. And the said Party of the first part do hereby convenant with the said parties of the secod part that she will warrant Generally the property hereby conveyed. her Nancy X Coe mark Deed Book 26 page 143, 22 NOV 1881 This deed was between Nancy Coe and her brother, John's children, for the Coe Cemetery. It is this John's skin which is mentioned in the deed. Both Nancy & John Coe were children of Isaac Newton Coe & Elisabeth Carroll. I have this Coe line back to John Coo, 1340, Essex, England.
