Blackburn Barret Dovener....Does anyone recognize this name? You should, he was a representative to Congress for West Virginia around 1900. (I know I have all of them memorized, hahah) But here's my question(s). Lydia Dovener married Jonathan Evans, one of my ancestors. They had a son named.. you guessed it.. Blackburn Barret Evans.. born around the same time as Blackburn Barret Dovener was born. Or at least plus or minus a decade. I don't believe in double coincidences... so, can anyone help me with any of this? Lydia married Jonathan in Illinois, then moved back to Ohio. Balckburn Barret Dovenor was listed as born in WV. Is there another famous Blackburn Barret that I should have heard of? Were millions of Americans naming their kids Blackburn Barret in the 1840's. These and other questions remain unanswered, hahah.
