Phyllis, Silver Hill is located about 18 miles east of New Martinsville. THere are no businesses to my knowledge, certainly no motels. (Closest would be in New Mart.) There is a volunteer Silver Hill Fire Dept. My brother in law is active in it. There is a small story in the Wetzel Co. History Book about Silver Hill. I could try to scan it and send it to you privately if you want me to. If you come to this area, please visit our local library. Our genealogy section is quite good. People come from far away to visit. I believe there is a book written by Ethel Briggs that probably has the reading from the tombstones in it. I'm just not sure of that. Lisa Hassig Neff
