In response to Carlilse Bowling's post of November 1: Sorry to take so long getting back to you. Life has a way of getting in the way. I went back to my sources to see what they said about Lawson Simeon Parriott and Mary McHenry. The date I had used was indeed an error. My original source, a transcription from a family Bible published in Parrott Talk in 1977, gave an 1837 date, I took that to be 1847 since the couple would have been too young in 1837. I completely missed a later source, Helen Parrott Foreman, who gave the date from the Marshall county records. I have corrected my database. I had also missed that this couple both died in Peru, Nebraska (Nemaha County.) All of my sources refer to this man as Lawson Simeon- the family Bible, Susannah Wilson Sachs, and Helen Parrott Foreman. There was a Simeon Lawson in another branch of the family, a son of William Parriott and Susan Turner who married Sarah Price. This Simeon Lawson went by Lawson, so it might follow that the 2 Lawson Simeons might go by different names, one Lawson and the other Simeon. I hope this clarifies my post and the Parriott side of McHenry discussion. Guy Littman
