I just found some notes my mother had written down a few years ago. In them she mentions that Grandma Chambers told her often that she had a greatuncle with "quite a reputation" and that must be where her artistic talent came from. Grandma Chambers was born Sophronia Samantha "Fronie" SIVERT, b. March 10. 1862 d. Feb. 1, 1945. She was married to John Westley CHAMBERS, b. Feb., 1856 D. March 12, 1922. They lived in Cameron, Marshall Co., WV & had (11) children. (John Westley CHAMBERS was the son of Samuel & Lucinda CHAMBERS, Son of Samuel CHAMBERS& Lydia BELL, son of Edward CHAMBERS & Martha FISH). I know very little about Sophronia except the above. I am hoping that the artist she spoke of was her brother. Of course, it may have been a CHAMBERS, too. Would anyone know how I might begin to look for information on this greatuncle? I'm at a loss as to how to begin and the SIVERT side is my "Brick Wall". Thanks, Sandy Lewis (CHAMBERS, SIVERT, BELL, FISH)
