Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AEC.2ACE/608 Message Board Post: I am a descendant of Captain William Forman, who was killed in an Indian ambush on September 1, 1777, with his sons Nathan and Hamilton, and other soldiers. The location was on the Ohio River below Wheeling, near Moundsville, Marshall Co., WV. A monument was erected in their honor, and later moved to, I believe, Mt. Rose Cemetery in Moundsville. There also may have been a highway marker. I am looking for pictures of the monument, and the highway marker, and information on the massacre. Thanks for any help.
