The artist's name is D.D. Hammond. It was painted in the early 1900s. This painting was part of my grandmother's estate (Willa Mina Grisell Kern) who was born and lived in Moundsville, W. Va., but later moved to Coshocton, Ohio. Her maiden name was Grisell. She was the daughter of Edward "Chalmers" and Amelia Grisell. Who was D.D. Hammond? I would love to know who this person was.
