My name is Kathy Carrico and I am a good friend of Carlisle Bowling's. We met over 21 years ago when I flew down to Florida. My mom had worked for Carlisle in the past and she had a horrific automobile accident. Carlisle is the one who took time to find me (way up in Alaska) and inform me of the crash. He met me at the airport when I arrived and immediately took me to the hospital. He was there for me every step of the way for the next eight weeks while my mom went through 10 operations. He was my lifeline then and now I want to be his. Carlisle, for those of you who don't know, broke his right (femur) in two places on May 26. He was hospitalized in traction for 20 days after the major surgery and a second surgery because of abscessed and infected stitches, on July 23. He also spent a month in a nursing home. He now is bed ridden at home. He has a hospital bed set up in his living room and has a nurse come in every other day to take care of many of his medical needs. It is going to be at least another two to four months of immobilization. I was down to visit him for a week in August and know first hand his bad state of affairs although he remains upbeat and determined to walk some again! Carlisle has always been there for us and now we need to help him. His medical bills are mounting and he eventually is going to need a motorized cart to help him once he is out of bed. The minister at his church has set up a special fund for Carlisle to help with the enormous costs of his recovery. Below is the name and address where you can send your tax-free donation.
