"A History of The Middle New River Settlements and Contiguous Territory", by David E. Johnston. Published 1906. This book mainly covers Mercer County, Virginia, the counties around it, and some other areas of Virginia and West Virginia, from 1654 to 1905. It also includes about 200 sketches of pioneer families! WebRoots.org is now open to the public, so Usernames and Passwords are no longer being used. To read the new book, just go to WebRoots: http://www.webroots.org and click on the door. You'll be taken to the Library Main page. Then, follow these clicks to the book: Browse and Read the Items > History > States > Virginia Also, "Search All Library Items" has now indexed everything online. You'll find a link to the search on the Library Main Page. All other links except the Library Card Catalog, should be working, including the links to Donations. Have Fun!
