    2. I am sending this obit to the list because Myrle GRANDON was born in Bellton, her grandparents and brother Rolland are buried in Highland cemetery. Her father and mother were married in Marshall County and her father, Charles M. GRANDON, was also born there. She was my aunt. Pam ----- OBITUARY: Myrle L. COMBS Surrounded by her children, Myrle L. COMBS went home with God Monday, Feb. 12, 2001. She was born Dec. 10, 1920, in West Virginia, daughter of the late Charles and Idesta (WHITE) GRANDON. Through her 80 years of life, she enjoyed decorating for the holidays, sharing joyful spirit with others, doll collecting and camping. Myrle loved her family, and especially cared for her grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Chuck (Betty) COMBS of Midland, Joann (Larry) STADLER of Shields and Carol (Jim) THURSTON of Midland; seven grandchildren, Shelly (Roger) TRADER, Debra (Roger) DICE, Lloyd (Cindy) SKUTT, William (B.J.) THURSTON, Rob (Cindy) SCHERZER, James (Michelle) THURSTON and Kurt (Shelli) THURSTON; 11 great-grandchildren, Jessica TRADER, Aimee TRADER, Jason TRADER, Alyssa DICE, Seth DICE, Lindsay THURSTON, Madison SCHERZER, Lane SCHERZER, Jessica THURSTON, Kelcey THURSTON and Morgan Kay THURSTON; four sisters, Margaret CASE, Vivian (John) RUSSO, Lela (Jim) MURPHY and Violet DUBUIS; and a special sister-in-law, Carolyn GRANDON. She was predeceased by two sisters, Doreen MARKOWSKI and Dorothy SCHULTE; brothers, John GRANDON and Rolland GRANDON; and two grandsons, Robert James THURSTON and Charles Rex COMBS. Funeral services were held today, February 14, 2001, from St. John's Lutheran Church; and burial was in Midland Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund of Midland, the Regional Dialysis Services, Midland Facility or St. John's Lutheran Church, Lydia Guild. Arrangements for Mrs. COMBS have been entrusted to the care of Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors. Memorial cards may be sent in care of the funeral home, 1200 W. Wheeler St., Midland, MI 48640.
