David---the Marshall Co., Wva Historical Society is located in Moundsville (population about 11,000) at 13th Street and Lockwood Ave.. They have a fee-for-membership and can be contacted by mail at PO Box 267 Moundsville Wv. 26041 It's located near their riverfront park on the southside of town. Their Public Library also has a small but good genealogy department. On my original visit I first contacted their Chamber of Commerce 522 7th St. in Moundsville, phone 304:845-2773 to obtain a little background on the area. If you stay in the area try to visit the Delf Norona Museum at Grave Creek Mounds State Park. The exhibits of the town's original native inhabitants are very interesting. Karen, in Seattle
