It could have been a grandson or ggrandson of that GROVES - maybe. Her mother Rebecca McCONNALLY signed permission for her to marry in 1812, There is a record of marriage for a Rebecca GROVES to an Anthony MCCONNALLY in 1799-her sister, cousin or mother? I haven't been able to find a father for her, but have found a William GROVES in the 1810 census next to Anthony McCONNALLY. I figure he may be the brother or the father. Thank you for any help. Pam
