Who is the mother of Howard Clark? Marshall County Marriage Records show Clara J. Rush married to J. R. Clark on July 7, 1871. Harvey Rush was the brother of my g grandmother, Cassie Rush Antill. Her father was Commodore Perry Rush. His first wife was Elizabeth Stricklin. Could Clara be a daughter of this marriage? His second wife was Adeline Tarr. She was the mother of Arbell, Harvey, Lee, Sara, John, Rebecca, Cassie, James, Roberta, and Charles.
Linda, Thank you for the information. I don't know if he's related. Mine would have been the father, or brother, of Nancy Ann GROVES born 9 July 1895. It could have been a grandson or ggrandson of that GROVES - maybe. Her mother Rebecca McCONNALLY signed permission for her to marry in 1812, There is a record of marriage for a Rebecca GROVES to an Anthony MCCONNALLY in 1799-her sister, cousin or mother? I haven't been able to find a father for her, but have found a William GROVES in the 1810 census next to Anthony McCONNALLY. I figure he may be the brother or the father. Thank you for any help. Pam

Hi Susie. That would be great. There are now 4 or 5 of us chasing William Criswells. Thanks, Sam
About William Criswell... I live very close to the Schiappa Library here in Steubenville, and they had assorted death records for the 1920's. Would you like me to try to find something for you? Do you know if he was buried iin Jefferson County? Susie Koehrsen

We believe he died in Ohio in the 1920's, after living with his son Shelton in Jefferson County.
