I hope someone will deliver this to Undo's for us Saturday night. We are so sorry we cannot join you but Helen is unable to travel due to an inner ear infection. Please take lots of pictures and notes and we'll be glad to pay for your time and expenses. Put us on the top of the list for the next get-together. Helen copied this from the Wheeling Intelligencier dated February 17, 1915 BENWOOD Ordinance Will Be Enforced The city council has ordered the chief of police to rigidly enforce the ordinance prohibiting chickens to run at large. A violation of this ordinance is punishable by a fine of not exceeding $20 and costs for each offense, and Mayor Sproats announces that it is his intention to give violators the limit. The mayor further wants it understood that the ordinance will be enforced impartially. We hope everyone has a great time. Love, Hazel Spahr, Myrtle Duke & Helen Shipe from Pennsylvania
Go turn on NBC Nightly News, coming on in 6 minutes--tonight's segment on genealogy will focus on Ellis Island, as an entry point for lots of our ancestors. Julie Hesson <[email protected]>

I have a Jane BONAR, or BONER, who married a Joseph WILEY in Belmont County, Ohio, Aug 3, 1820. I don't believe that these are direct relatives, but this relates to a curious situation where I DO have a Joseph WILEY of that era who married (I believe) a Jane STEWART. It would be great to finally resolve this conundrum. (cf. Charleen, I am a librarian in Ohio. If you just want to look at the book, go to your local public library and ask them to obtain it for you via Interlibrary Loan. If you want to purchase the book, you may work through a used book store located in your state. Or write to the Wheeling Public Library and ask for the address of a local used book store in the area. Perhaps they will photocopy a page from the yellow pages for you. Contact the local genealogy group in Wheeling and ask if they know of any copy for sale. If you absolutely want to buy it, run an ad in a Wheeling newspaper. Place a query in the WV genealogy newsletter. Put a notice on a bulletin board at the WV State Library or historical society or the Archives at University in Morgantown. Contact the author if still alive and try to purchase a copy or borrow it. Don't give up. If you have no luck, contact me again. To those of you that didn't get a personal email, (no addresses...) I'm looking for a campground to stay at on Sat. night after the dinner and Sunday. It can be near Benwood or hopefully not too far away. I plan to visit Moundsville, Cameron, Benwood areas on Sunday, so location isn't important as long as I can find it on Sat. night! Please email me privately so we don't tie up the list... I'd like a phone # and address if possible. Thanks all, Sandy
Attempts to reply to Marlin Dowler have bounced. Would he please contact me personally again. Peg [email protected]

Martha, There are two numbers next to each head of household's name. The first is the number of houses, in consecutive order, which the enumerator visited. The second is the number of families interviewed, in consecutive order. The two numbers may not be the same, since there were frequently two or more families residing in the same household. Hi Daniele, Just be sure there is something really vegetarian (my husband does not eat meat of any kind) on that menu and all will be fine. Maggie !^NavFont02F00770007NGHHG7885AD
