Records would indicate that Pernale Cox is my ggg grandfather and Mary Cox his mother would be my gggg grandmother. I have never found a husband for her assumingly dead in the 1860 census or maybe divorced. Since William McCray is in the household in 1860 a grandson I presume he is the same son that may be identified again in the 1860 census with Elmina and Sylvester McCray. Thus perhaps Elmina and Pernale are siblings of Mary Cox and ?????? Cox possible from Delaware. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hi Shelly, I checked the Surnames Research Registry for my site and no one has registered as researching HOGUE or HOGE. I also checked the Surnames Registry for the Marion County Genealogical Club and no one is registered there either. The Marion County Genealogical Club has a Facebook group with a little over 450 Marion County researchers as members, so you might want to try there to see if there are any HOGUE/HOGE researchers.
