I'm still with you, Judy, but I will admit it's been very quiet lately on this List. Maybe it's time for a Sound Off. I'll be first: Searching for Wilsons The following are the basic facts I know about my Wilson family: 1. My dad's name was Henry Morris Wilson. He was born March 17, 1918 in Aflex, Kentucky. He had sisters named Virginia (died in infancy), Bonsall, and Grace. His brothers were Frank, James, William and Burnard Lee. His mother's sister who was married to a Casto adopted Burnard Lee as an infant. Henry Morris was a carpenter and also worked in the coal mines in Logan County, WV. Henry Morris died Dec. 17, 1995 in Columbus, Ohio. 2. His parents were Letha Anna Ellis born May of 1893 (or 1894) in Logan County, West Virginia. ( Letha Anna died shortly after childbirth in January 1929.) and Henry Frank Wilson. Henry Frank's birth date varies according to different documents. His birthday probably was March. 16, 1885. His place of birth is unknown but may have been Scott County, Kentucky, Scott County, Tennessee or Scott County Virginia. 3. Henry Frank was a carpenter and he worked in the mines. He worked hauling logs from Cattletsburg, Kentucky to West Virginia. Later he worked in the mines in Logan County. Henry Frank died on July 25, 1933 of Black Lung Disease. 4.Letha Anna Ellis and Henry Frank Wilson were married on December 28, 1911 in Logan County, West Virginia. 5. Henry Frank's dad was Andy Wilson. I have no real information about Andy Wilson except that he was possibly from Kentucky, Virginia or Tennessee. My dad's oldest brother, Frank Wilson, was named Andy Frank Wilson for his grandfather Andy. Andy had several children who may have died during the 1917 Bloody Flux (Influenza) Epidemic. 6. I have found Henry F. Wilson and family in the 1920 Census for Logan County and the 1930 Census. I cannot find this family or records for Henry F. or Andy Wilson in any other census material.
