Hello Russ - My Berrys go back to Isaac and Jane (Hale) Berry in VA in 1780. Some say he was an Irish immigrant, but I've seen no documentation of it. I descend thru his son Jubal who married Margaret Thompson d/o Richard Thompson and a Cherokee wife named Elizabeth. Next is their son Wiley who moved to Jackson Co., VA/WVa in the 1850s and married Ellen Dawson. Their son Green Berry was my great grandfather. I'll check on Hugh Thomas Berry if you will give me some time frame. I know more of the Floyd/Lawrence Cos. Berrys came across to WVa.
