Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you. My Irish ancestors were the Mahones. One day I typed my great grandfather's name, Pliant Mahone into the search engine, there were many of them in Ireland. I believe that is also where the spelling of my name Vernia with the "i" came from. My grandmother's name was Alafair Louvernia Mahone Marcum. I am going to Great Britian in June with a couple of cousins. I went there 20 years ago but didn't get to Ireland so that is the main reason I am going this year, will spend a few days in each of the 4 countries, but I am especially interested in seeing Ireland.
