    2. Thanks, cousin Gracie for your input on Blair mt memorial. But it seems all is about to be lost, in the peoples' quest for the memorial(see todays Chas, Gazette). The coal barons have protested to the National Parks; they claim a majority of ajoining land owners don't want the Memorial. The law requires a majority in favor, to suceed. 30 out of 50 landowners have spoken out against it. Once again, the coal operators have put fear in the people about job losses. The governor, and the mine workers union, have sided with the coal operators. Its a sad time for WV ! Shelby ************** A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! 3. Wait a minute... Don't the coal companies own a majority of the ajoining land? That sounds like a HUGE conflict of interest! -----Original Message----- From: wvlogan-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:wvlogan-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of BurgessWV@aol.com Sent: Tuesday, April 07, 2009 8:09 PM To: wvlogan@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [WVLOGAN] From the Sierra Club about Blair Mountain Thanks, cousin Gracie for your input on Blair mt memorial. 3. To my knowledge the coal companies own most of the Blair Mtn. area.  The Charleston newspapers don't report the full story.  They are in the pockets of the coal companies just like the politicians.    The town of Monclo is gone.  Sharples, Clothier, Blair, Hetzel, and Ethel are the main communities involved to my knowledge.    So who are the 50 landowners and who are the 30 that do not want the Historical designation?   Rick --- On Tue, 4/7/09, Laura Loding <lloding@cox.net> wrote: From: Laura Loding <lloding@cox.net> Subject: Re: [WVLOGAN] From the Sierra Club about Blair Mountain To: wvlogan@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2009, 7:49 PM Wait a minute...
