    3. It is a sad time.  I imagine the coal companies are part of the 50 landowners as well and had a big say.  Cousin Rick --- On Tue, 4/7/09, BurgessWV@aol.com <BurgessWV@aol.com> wrote: From: BurgessWV@aol.com <BurgessWV@aol.com> Subject: Re: [WVLOGAN] From the Sierra Club about Blair Mountain To: wvlogan@rootsweb.com Date: Tuesday, April 7, 2009, 7:08 PM Thanks, cousin Gracie for your input on Blair mt memorial. But it seems all is about to be lost, in the peoples' quest for the memorial(see todays Chas, Gazette). The coal barons have protested to the National Parks; they claim a majority of ajoining land owners don't want the Memorial. The law requires a majority in favor, to suceed. 30 out of 50 landowners have spoken out against it. Once again, the coal operators have put fear in the people about job losses. The governor, and the mine workers union, have sided with the coal operators. Its a sad time for WV ! Shelby ************** A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
