    3. Hi again, Laura; When did Barnabus Curry die ? He was age 71 in the 1860 Logan co.Wv. census. I counted 19 children he fathered. I know the town of Barnabus was named for him, but was Taylorville in Mingo co named for his wife ? Yours in Logan co genealogy; Shelby

    3. Shelby, Barnabus died in 1869 by a kick in the head by a horse. At least that is family tradition. He had 21 children of which I am aware. I'm not sure about Taylorville.. There were other Taylors. Someday I do plan on making the trip east.
