    3. Vernia, I think that is just what people did. They either did not pronouce the first "A" in my name and called me Nita, or they used some cutsey name out of it - "Nedder Squeeder". Then when my nieces and nephew were born, it was difficult for them to say, "Aunt Anita", so I became "Sissy" to them.
