Anita ; Its a fact of life that coal seams & water tables go together. As a former miner, I can remember wading through water sometimes a foot deep. The reddish color in your little creek means Sulpher is present. Sulpher will hardly harm the human body, but is deadly to fish in streams, as it replaces the oxygen.
