I am presently confused on the abbreviation of West Virginia addresses. I have seen both lately. I know it was W Va until a few years back. Now I think its written as WV. Maybe I will just spell out the name: 'West Virginia' to make certain I get it right ! Shelby

The states that start with an M are difficult to remember. I put WV on letter addresses but use WVa otherwise. Shelby, Several years ago, the Post Office changed all state abreviations to two lettes. West Virginia is now WV. Shelby, the change was made when all of the states have just a 2 letter abreviation, so it is definitely WV as Ohio is OH.
