Dear Saundra; I was partly raised in Chapmanville, so I know a lot of the older people on Harts Creek,the Adams, Brumfields, Daltons, Conleys,Dingess,s,and the Workmans ( my kin)I have heard of Mr. Meeks but never knew him personally. We sometimes think we have long drives to work, but the men on Harts Creek travelled all the way to the coal mines in upper Logan County daily.They werent about to leave their farms to dwell in some coal camp.
