Some of SILAS FANNINs descendants married BROWNING. ICIE FANNIN (Wayne - Easton - Silas) b. 2 March 1919; married OSSIE BROWNING. This is a question for anyone who owns copies of Stanley Brownings books: Tracking the Pioneers : History and Genealogy of Capt. Ralph Stewart and His Descendants TRACKING THE PIONEERS II: A History of Browning Families of Southern West Virginia Do either of these books mention SILAS FANNIN? If so, what is written about him? I found a few pictures that I am wondering about. Lourvenia Fain and Thomas Harrison Maynard are in one picture and John E Maynard (b. 1882; d. 1996) is in the other. The writing on the back of this picture says that John was Lourvenia's 2nd husband Wondering who this Fain lady is? There used to be (in the 60s) a family of that name living in Ranger, WV, but I never knew anything about this family. Phyllis Some of SILAS FANNINs descendants married BROWNING. Hi Phyllis, I, too, am curious about this John Maynard you mention....There was a John M. Maynard age 14, in the 1910 Laurel Hill Dist., Census listed as a nephew living with Ulysses G. Nelson and wife Matilda J. (Dalton) Nelson. I wonder if this would be the same John Maynard or another...'John Maynard' was a common name....if you find anything more about this John Maynard, such as, his parents names? could you send this info? Thanks....
