Gracie, Yes there are many errors in what is out there on the Internet. This is Shelby's family and also my relation to Shelby. Anthony Baisden m. Almedia Frances Hager d/o Alfred Allen Hager and Louisa Jane Workman. This relationship contributed to a divorce between Alfred Allen Hager and Mahala Toney. Alfred is listed as divorced in the 1880 Boone County census. Mahala was in my ancestor John McKinley Hager's household. Mahala remained with John Hager's family and Alfred moved to Martin County, Kentucky where he married twice and had at least 4 more children in a marriage to Victoria Copley. The first child Anthony Hager was born June 1883 in West Virginia. Victoria Copley was the d/o Anthony and Penelopy (Copley) Copley. Charles W. Hager was born April 1885 in Kentucky; Henry Sanford Hager was born April 1888 in Kentucky and Ella W. W. Hager was born April 1891 in Kentucky. I believe Henry Sanford Hager m. Ethel and was found in the 1920 Mingo County, West Virginia census with 2 children Burnedine Hager age 5 and Omega Hager age 3. I have no further record of the other three children from the marriage to Victoria Copley. Alfred next m. Helen Delong who had 3 children Juanita/Wanita Delong b. abt. 1880 in Kentucky; Marian (f) Delong b. abt. 1883 in Kentucky and Daniel Delong b. abt. 1890 in Kentucky. I do not know the maiden name of Helen but Helen Hager is in the 1910 Lick Branch, Martin County census with Alfred Hager and Helen Hager is in the 1920 Martin County census as widowed. Daniel Delong m. Hilda and had Ona, Ira, Helen, Elmer and Walton Delong. Any information on this Delong family would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps a lookup for the marriage of Daniel Delong in Martin County may help. Whew, Joel, you got into people I have never heard of before. But did confirm what I thought. Her name was Alameda Frances and I had the right parents, also. I kinda got the impression that Alfred was a bit of a rounder. [Just read Shelby's mail and I like Cassanova better.] Oh, now this is getting funny, Anthony Baisden was my mother's 1st cousin 1 time removed and Almeda Frances was her 3rd cousin 1 time removed. But they were not cousins to each other. . Oh, what a tangled web we weave when we first do genie. Joking!!!!!
