While most of Big Hart creek was in Logan county,WV. the town at the mouth of Hart is called Atenville, in Lincoln County. little Hart is ALL in Lincoln co., except the headwaters, some of which are in Wayne & Mingo counties. Actually Shelby at the mouth of Big Hart is just called Harts. Attenville is about 6 miles or so on down route 10 at the mouth of Little Harts. Up route 10 from Harts is Ferrellsburg and Toney.
