I have this family almost the same, but I have David as the first born in 1854 with the source the 1860 census, and I have one additional son, Samuel B. 8 Jun 1884 ( source: http://www.wvculture.org/, Logan County Births, Page 110, Line 84.) That last one seems out of kilter with the others--a seven year gap. Since I am new at this, I am always afraid I have made an error even though I try to be careful to cite sources accurately. Valentine had several more children that are by other women, by his own admittance.
