Hello Shelby - Who said that the Yankees were trash? Many of Boone County's oldest families had sons who fought for the Union. I have grandfathers who fought on both sides. What a way to start a genealogical society meeting. I am a member of BCGS but have never been to a meeting since I have lived in New Orleans in my adulthood.
