(exclamation)WELL!!!! Though I fuss about the Yankee ancestors jokingly, I am as proud of them as I am the rest. I also had ancestors on both sides but I know they were fighting for what they believed. Besides that, I don't think my Union ancestors considered theyselves yankees anyway. I think they thought of themselves as Virginians(WV). I did make the mistake, when talking to a rock solid southerner, of mentioning slavery and my disapproval of it no matter who was the slave. Won't do that again. But did learn (mayby more than I wanted) about the other reasons for the Civil War.
