    2. Thank you, Cousin Shelby. Some of the Toneys changed their name to Tawney. My grand-aunt Romie Stewart married a Tawney. His family was Toney a generation or so back. A man was bit by a timber rattler while gathering moss up that way last week. I saw it in the Charleston Gazette.
