    2. My paternal great grandmother was a Kinder. If I am not mistaken, they lived in the Ashord area. The cemetary is nearby at Costa. I have no idea what year they arrived in that area. I've heard different accounts. One would have Margaret Compton Kinder, widow of John Kinder I, in the Marmet area in 1790. She married a Javins the second time. 3. Rick, Is your Margaret COMPTON Kinder, from the COMPTON's of Bluestone/Bland/Tazewell, VA? From what I see on the documentation on your John Kinder I, he is from that area....so, I suspect your Margaret is, too. I do COMPTON geneaology, and this area of VA is where my line originates. I can put you into contact with a couple of COMPTON researchers of this particular line, who have researched these COMPTON's indepth, for whom might be able to help you figure out who is Margaret's parents, or at least lead you in the right direction, if you are interested? I descend from Hiram Compton (b. 1800 VA, d. 1874 KY), s/o John Compton and Elinor McGuire of VA. Hiram's first wife Jenny/Janey Shannon (b. abt. 1801 VA, d. abt. 1830 VA).
