Writing the governor is important. I think some of us are tired of it as it has been going on for over a decade. While it is definately demoralizing it is important to keep fighting. I have seen concrete results of local groups who through legal means( lawsuits) saved or stalled the destruction of our mountains and towns. But....to save an ancient mountain, that's quite an accomplishment.The Sierra Club in WV would love to have more members and has been absolutely instrumental in leading the cause along w/ many determined hard working local groups.They often have marches and rallies against MTR and have fought a valiant fight against Arch and Massey. I am very greatful to all of these groups and individuals because w/out them, I would have no hometown. As it is, because of their tireless efforts, 1/2 of Blair is still standing.They are truly heroes in an uphill battle to save the West Virginia Hills. Gail
