Hello - Here is some info on the Burchetts. I descend from Benjamin Burchett (1772-1848) son of Burwell Burchett and Mary Fannin. Benjamin married Susannah Herron d/o John and Ann Herron. They lived in what is now Bland Co., VA around Walker's Creek in the latter 1700s and migrated to various parts of E KY, TN, and now WVa. Their children: Ann b. 1803 married Pleasant Jordan - my 4 ggrandparents Elizabeth b. 1804 m. Burrell Lambert Burrell b. 1805 m. Sarah Easterling John b. 1806 m. Mildred Chaffin Mary b. 1806 m. Elijah Ratcliff Robert b. 1807 m. Polly Roe Sarah b. 1809 m. James Bruce David b. 1811 m. Julianne McAllister Benjamin b. 1814 m. Elizabeth Watson Rhoda b. 1815 m. Benjamin Webb James b. 1817 m. Ellen Haney Nancy b. 1819 m. Travis Fannin Benjamin Burchett Sr. was a farmer and blacksmith. He came to Floyd Co., KY ca. 1806 and received land grants on Prater Creek and Lick Branch. He later moved to Lost Creek in now Carter Co., KY. He owned most of Lost Creek and divided it among his 12 children. Rick

Some info I have on Benjamin Burchett, maybe not the same one, is that my Benjamin and his three brothers were the first to secure grants in the part of Louisa (Sandy) Valley.
