    3. Not until the people living in WV stand up to the politicians and the coal companies. There is NO excuse for the burial sites being distroyed like this. I do what I can from way out here but the pressure HAS to come from the WV voters. Snail mail/E-mail campaigns. March on the capitol. Become tree huggers. Join every group that fights the good fight. Contact the agency that has control over the cemeteries. Pester congress and senate heads. Tell them how angry this makes you and that you won't stand for it anymore. These are OUR ancestors/family that they are dumping out like trash. Write to the EPA and give them H***. Write to every newspaper and tv station in the USA. Our president has an e-mail addy. If enough people will bring this travesty to the attention of the general public and not let them forget, mayby it CAN be stopped. Send the Grist article to the Native American groups in the area. Off my soap box for a few minutes. I never said I wasn't a redneck. I was born and bred in Oklahoma after all. And I am decended from those radical Baisden/Hagers. Gosh, my third ggrandfather, Jean Schmidt Baisden joined twice in the Rev War. It seems to me they are focusing on the tributaries of the Big Coal and Little Coal Rivers. That includes a large area and many streams we speak about here such as Spruce Fork. Whitesville is on the Big Coal. Apparently there is no stopping it.
